Pastor Pondering: Dear Ford Street Friends, Have you noticed the slight chill in the air early in the morning? I have! It’s almost time for sweaters, football games, bonfires, and the sights and smells of fall. I can’t wait! The changing of the seasons always reminds me of new seasons in our lives, and also in the church. As we move forward together, there are continued projects that need our attention. The nursery is one of them. At the church council meeting this week, it was agreed that we need to give the nursery a makeover! If we are serious about accommodating families and young children, we need to create welcoming spaces for them. We have decided to update it with new flooring, fresh paint, updated baby items, toys, and a TV for streaming the worship service to the nursery. How can you help? And join us this Sunday as we continue our journey through “Bible Stories for Grown Ups.” where we will explore the “Binding of Isaac” this week. As always, my door/phone/email is open! See you Sunday! In Christ, Rev. Jill Moffett |
