| Pastor Pondering: Dear Ford Street Friends, This past week, I have been focusing more on gratitude. I am thankful for new seasons, deepened relationships, the joy of learning, and love for what I do. I am thankful for this congregation and the privilege of being your pastor. I am thankful for the ministry we are doing together. As I continue to look at a busy church calendar and the people coming in and out of the church building, I am excited about the many opportunities we have in front of us, and there is more to come!To that end, we have a busy weekend coming up! On Friday night, Gathering Grounds will host students after the first home football game here in Lapel for “5th Quarter.” There will be opportunities for fellowship, games, and of course, drinks from the coffee shop! Then on Sunday, we will have the Back 2 School Bash! from 4:00-7:00 pm. There is a rumor that the “Plaster the Pastor” booth is one of the highlights of the afternoon. Don’t miss your chance to come out and meet some of our neighborhood families, grab a hot dog or two, and be a part of a fun day. The nursery “reboot” is in progress! Stop by and take a look at this space when you get a chance. We are thankful for busy hands who are working hard to create updated spaces for the next generation.
