Pastor Pondering:
Dear Ford Street Friends,
First of all, THANK YOU to all who helped make the Back to School Bash a successful and fun event! I saw pure joy on children’s faces all afternoon, and it was such a beautiful day. Thank you for your work and efforts to this important ministry outreach!

We know that in scripture, Jesus went away to pray on several occasions. He did this even to the frustration of his own disciples sometimes. But he understood the value of solitude, spending time in prayer, and reconnecting to God and himself.
This Thursday evening-Saturday afternoon, I will be spending some time away in prayer and solitude on a personal spiritual retreat. During that time, I look forward to some intentional time to reconnect with God and myself. I also have a goal during this time to begin work on a book proposal! More to come about that later.
I encourage you to find time and space to reconnect with God and seek solitude as well. I find that I come out of these times renewed and ready to face the next few weeks and months ahead, whatever life throws our way!
Join us this Sunday as we continue the sermon series, “Bible Stories for Grown Ups” and focus on “The Parable of the Talents.”
See you soon at Ford St!
