Ford Street Church offers two scouting programs to families in Lapel and the surrounding area. Families are welcome to visit a meeting and participate. Youth may join at any time. Contact us using the button below to ask questions, get the meeting times, and start having some fun!!
Cub Scouts
Cub Scouting is fun for the whole family. Whether it is building a new bird house, learning a new knot or first aid skill, or going camping, Cub Scouting gets your family together and has FUN!! Cub Scout Pack 361 is parent-led and open to boys and girls grades K-5.
Scouts BSA
Formerly known as "Boy Scouts", Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth aged 11-18. Service, community engagement and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.
Lapel Troop 361 usually camps monthly and enjoys hiking, caving, fishing, and kayaking/canoeing. If your boy wants to get outside and have some adventure, this program is for him.
Note: Until demand for scouting increases in the Lapel area, girls interested in this program are encouraged to visit Troop 262 in Pendleton. They have great leaders and a wonderful group of scouts. We are happy to put you in touch. If you can pull together at least five girls and two adult leaders, we'll help you start a new troop for them right here at Ford Street Church.
