Mercy Triumphs

We all make snap judgments about people within seconds of meeting them, but James 2:1-13 reveals that favoritism has no place in God's kingdom. When we treat people differently based on appearance, wealth, or status, we become judges with evil thoughts, assigning value based on criteria God never asked us to consider. The real issue isn't about rich versus poor, but about worth and who we think deserves honor. Jesus calls us to follow the royal law of love: love your neighbor as yourself. Since we all came to God as sinners needing mercy, we should extend that same mercy to others regardless of their status or what they can offer us.
